MESSAGE FROM HARTFORD 2007 CO-CHAIRS
Welcome to the second NEW ENGLAND CONNECTions 2007 e-zine! Between now and April 2007, we'll continue to update the genealogical community on what's happening with the ninth New England Regional Genealogical Conference through periodic e-zines like this one. Please share them with your friends and associates and anyone else you feel may be interested in attending the Conference.
Practice makes perfect, and by learning from the eight Regional Conferences NERGC has previously put together, Hartford 2007 is shaping up to be the best ever. We have experienced conference planners and organizers working on
NEW ENGLAND CONNECTions 2007
....some of the best speakers, including
Patricia Law Hatcher, Cyndi Howells, and Henry Z 'Hank" Jones;
....some of the best National and Regional exhibitors;
...
and the best facilities, the
Hartford Marriott Downtown,
Connecticut is proud to host the New England Regional Conference for the second time. The conference in Cromwell in April 1997 was very successful, and NEW ENGLAND CONNECTions 2007 will exceed that success.
Yankee magazine recently observed that Hartford is 'becoming one of the good-news stories of metropolitan New England," noting that it "is now beginning to shine as brightly as the moon on the nearby Connecticut River." Discover Hartford for yourself! Visit the Old State House, the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, and the historical treasures operated by the Antiquarian & Landmarks Society. But don't forget that the Connecticut State Library and the Connecticut Historical Society have some of the best research collections you will find anywhere.
NEW ENGLAND CONNECTions is still a year away, but interest is rapidly building. Start making plans your plans to attend now, watch the NERGC web page at www.nergc.org
