SUMMARY:Meeting of the Connecticut Society of Genealogists\, Inc.
DESCRIPTION:“Indirect Evidence: Putting the Pieces Together\,” presentation by Pauline Merrick. \nThe Connecticut Society of Genealogists\, Inc. presents “Indirect Evidence – Putting the Pieces Together” with Pauline Merrick \nThis Connecticut-based case study demonstrates techniques to identify family members when birth records are non-existent and other vital records lack the necessary data. A variety of records are used to indicate relationships between neighbors\, legatees and even court witnesses. Learn how to weave the small bits of evidence into a logical proof summary. \nPauline C. Merrick has a lifelong interest in genealogy. She is the published author of a book and several magazine articles. She lectures on Connecticut research AND serves on the Board of Governors for the Connecticut Society of Genealogists as Vice President and Program Committee Chair\, and conducts special projects for the Samuel Huntington Homestead. She is a member of the DAR and the Mayflower Society based on her long heritage of Connecticut ancestors. \nRegistration Information: \nThis event will take place at the CSG Library and virtually on Zoom. The event is FREE\, but registration is required. Please visit the Society’s website to register.
