On Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm there will be a “Society Fair” in the Sheraton Hotel Ballroom Foyer<\/span> where <\/span>twenty-one family, genealogical and historical societies<\/span><\/span> from all over New England will provide information about their organizations.<\/span><\/div>\n

The Society Fair is open to the general public at no cost so that anyone can make contact with society representatives, pick up brochures and registration material, or perhaps even make a more permanent connection by joining a group.<\/span><\/div>\n

Who knows how many of these can be of service to you in your research? Come find out!!  It’s a great place to meet and greet and gather in anticipation of the opening of the trade show at 6 p.m.. Don’t miss it!<\/span><\/div>\n

Ralph Wadleigh, the Society Fair Chairman says, “The Fair is a great place to meet and greet fellow attendees.  It\u2019s also a place to gather information on family associations, area repositories and genealogical societies offering a variety of information and tools.  It\u2019s been heard that unknown cousins have met at the Fair!!  It\u2019s the place to be before the Trade Show opens.  It shouldn\u2019t be missed for a mix of fun and genealogical socializing!!”
