Special Interest Groups

There are now ten Special Interest Groups that will be held on Thursday, 7 April at 7:30 p.m. at the NERGC Conference. These informal discussion groups cover a range of topics from ethnic research to graveyard research to professional development. Recently, changes were made to the Irish/Irish-American Special Interest Group to make it even more exciting.

Have you ever wished you could have just a few more minutes after a lecture to ask just one more question? Join your fellow Irish/Irish-American researchers for this special interest group on Thursday evening. We’ll have a panel of experts ready to answer your questions and discuss possible ways around those brick walls. We’ll start off with an informal Q & A for the panel, and then see where the discussion takes us. Come prepared to share your insights as well! Panelists include: Eileen O’Duill, Janis Duffy, Mary Ellen Grogan, Judy Lucey, Margaret Sullivan, Mike Brophy and Paul Milner.

If you don’t see a group you are interested in, it’s too late ot volunteer to host one yourself. If you’re interested in being the facilitator for a topic not already covered, contact Leslie Huber at [email protected].
