Falmouth Public Library, 300 Main Street, Falmouth
The Falmouth Genealogical Society (FGS) will hold its monthly talk Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at the Falmouth Public Library, 300 Main Street, Falmouth.
Christine Cohen, Program Director with the Whittier (CA) Area Genealogical Society, will present via Zoom: Naturalization and Citizenship Records in the United States.
Naturalization is the process by which an alien becomes an American citizen. Naturalization records can provide a researcher with valuable information such as an ancestor’s birth date, birth location in the country of origin, occupation, immigration year, marital status, spouse information, and witnesses’ names and addresses. Naturalization and the individual steps to citizenship could be done at any “court of record” of which there were 5,000 in the United States.
This talk is free and open to the public. It is also available via Zoom. For the Zoom credentials, please contact fgspresident@gmail.com by December 12, 2025.
