NERGC 2027: Planning Is Underway

The New England Regional Genealogical Consortium is thrilled to open the doors to our nineteenth conference, coming to Portland, Maine, April 14–17, 2027. As we look ahead to gathering once again—live and in person—our community of family historians, researchers, educators, and volunteers is already building momentum for an unforgettable event.

This year’s conference theme, Genealogy in the Age of AI: Innovation Meets Responsibility, reflects both the excitement and the thoughtful stewardship shaping today’s genealogical landscape. Artificial intelligence is transforming how we research, analyze, and interpret family history, but at NERGC, it’s just one part of a much broader conversation. Attendees can expect the same wide‑ranging program they’ve come to rely on: local history, methodology, lineage societies, military research, and so much more.
